*UPDATES!* (scroll to the bottom to read more)

Slow Art Day is a worldwide celebration of art that encourages people to look at art SLOWLY – and thereby experience art in a new way. You can see more about Slow Art Day and the mission behind it on our website: http://SlowArtDay.com.

Join us on April 27 as docents, students, friends, and family will come together to view art in an exciting way. For parents with children who want to participate in the event, but cannot attend the entire time, a book reading will take place where parents and children can experience Slow Art Day together. The book is titled Quiet Art by Grammy nominated band Foster The People. At 11:00 AM, participants will sit in front of designated artworks for 5-10 minutes each to create their own interpretation and analysis of the pieces. A Slow Art Day "journal" will be provided, but we encourage those who have their own journals to bring it with them. After an hour, visitors will be led to the Camellia Court Café where they will have lunch* and discuss their thoughts on the pieces with other attendees and docents.

Please consider joining us!

*Participants are responsible for their own lunch.
